Conference and Retreat Center

Conferences and retreats at St. Croix offer a unique time for building tradition of community for each group, whether a church group, non-profit organization or special conference event. Annually nearly 7000 individual participants from churches, non-profit agencies, colleges or universities and businesses, enjoy spending some very structured time at St. Croix to learn, play and build relationships.

      

Meeting Spaces and Overnight Accomodations

YMCA Camp St. Croix offers a comfortable conference and retreat facility on pine covered bluffs overlooking the St. Croix River Valley.

Conveniently located twenty miles east of downtown St. Paul and two miles south of Hudson, Wisconsin, Camp St. Croix surrounds you with pine and hardwood forest, prairie and magnificent scenic views of Lake St. Croix.

Day and overnight accommodations for 10 to 220 people, a variety of meeting spaces and a complete meal service will benefit your retreat or conference planning. The entire Camp St. Croix Staff is ready to serve your group. Please come join us!

 

COMFORTABLE SURROUNDINGS

The Conference Center, Lodge and River Center provide comfortable meeting rooms for groups varying in size from 10 to 220 persons.

Croix Hall

Located in the Conference Center, is our largest meeting room. It comfortably seats 220 persons and a fireplace adds to the pleasant atmosphere. The Northland, DuNord and Widji Rooms are also located in the Conference Center and seat 10-40 persons for smaller group meetings.

The River Center

Offers two meeting spaces that can fit 30-40 persons each. It features an outdoor pavilion for campfires and activities in the fall and spring, as well as a wood burning stove in the Lobby to gather around in the winter.

The Lodge

Overlooks Lake St. Croix and the upstairs can seat up to 100 persons comfortably. It's fieldstone fireplace enriches the rustic atmosphere and beautiful view of the St. Croix River Valley. The downstairs portion of the Lodge has a main room with fireplace that can accommodate 50-75 persons. Connected to the main room are three breakout rooms, Pine, Oak, and Cedar that can accommodate 20, 20, and 10 persons respectively. 


MEETING SUPPLIES

Let us know how you’d like your meeting space arranged before you come out and the Camp St. Croix staff will have everything set up and waiting for you when you arrive.

Camp St. Croix can provide a variety of supplies to enhance your meeting, retreat or conference. Items available upon request include: Dry erase easel, flip chart paper, overhead projector, projection screen, and TV/VCR (are all complimentary). An LCD projector, TV/DVD/VHS unit, DVD player and a portable PA system are also available.


OVERNIGHT ACCOMMODATIONS

Fifteen cabins with twelve individual bunks are fully insulated and heated to keep even the coldest nights comfortable. Modern restrooms and shower facilities are located in separate adjacent buildings. Participants are asked to provide their own bedding or sleeping bags.The Savanna Lodge sleeps 23 in five separate sleeping rooms with two to three bunks in each room, in addition to bathroom and shower facilities. The Fireside Room, with it's cozy fireplace, and the Sunset Room with it's nice view of camp, make this building the most popular for small retreat groups. Participants are asked to provide their own bedding or sleeping bags.


NUTRITIOUS FOOD

The Food Service Staff takes pride in preparing tasteful, hearty and nutritious meals. Homemade desserts as well as fresh fruits and vegetables compliment the menu. Meals are served family or buffet style depending on when the group is in camp, in the centrally located dining hall.

Exclusive-use groups can, for an additional charge, order one of our premium menus. Please call to make arrangements.

SPECIAL EVENTS AND HOLIDAY PARTIES

All of our meeting spaces are available for day use. And, our experienced Food Service Staff is prepared to cater your party or event with our Premium Food Service. Choose from one of three levels of food service to provide the perfect experience for you and your group.

Surrounded by natural beauty, yet minutes away from the Twin Cities, Camp St. Croix is an ideal place for your Holiday Party or Special Event.


RECREATIONAL ACTIVITIES

Recreation is an important part of any group experience at Camp St. Croix. Two large athletic field areas provide ample space for softball, football, soccer and group games. Two fully equipped volleyball courts, basketball courts, and two tennis courts are also available for your use.

Camp St. Croix's program staff can lead a variety of different programs for your group depending on the time of the year, a few of our program options include, nature hikes, night hikes, campfires, cross-country ski lessons, carnivals and more. Activities like swimming and canoeing are offered during May - September. In the winter, Camp St. Croix has a sledding hill, a lighted broomball area and cross-country ski equipment available for our guests.

The beauty of the environment is ever present along the shores and bluffs of the St. Croix River. From sighting eagles to an invigorating walk through the ravines, there are over 400 acres of land and miles of hiking trails to explore.

Additionally, Camp St. Croix is located just minutes away from quality golf courses, fine restaurants, a 9-screen movie theater, and a downhill skiing facility.
